your own photos to canvas!

One of the
most popular digital photo printing styles is to print to canvas
or a canvas finish paper. The effect is pretty impressive on many
digital photos and can give a paint like quality to the photo
print.
Many of the
local and online photo print companies offer canvas type digital
photo prints for order in many sizes. When you print a photo onto canvas
it can give the impression of an oil or watercolor painting. An 8 X 10 canvas print with
no frame can run about $60 plus shipping. This is usually on some
type of flexible canvas material that is stretched over a wooden
frame. These companies also use an archival ink that is good for
over 100 years or more.
Two styles
of photos seem to work well with this method of printing. Portrait
shots whether formal or candid, and sweeping landscapes. Of course
the better the photo, the better the print in any given situation
and subject matter is a personal preference rather than a rule.
Now you can
get the same type of results with photo prints on canvas at home.
There are a couple of good choices in specially designed paper
with a canvas type surface that creates a similar effect. This
paper will work with any inkjet printer. Most of the popular HP,
Epson, Lexmark, or Canon inkjet printers will print at least 600
dpi (dots per inch) and have the high end archival ink too.
The paper
companies include some good information on how to get the best
results when printing photographs on canvas material and even have online and software to help. They also
include test strips to see exactly what kind of results are
possible with your photo onto canvas. And the biggest advantage is that you can buy this paper
for as little as $2 per sheet in 5 or 10 sheet packages so it
won't break your budget to try it out.
I think
you'll be surprised at the impact of the effect when you print to
canvas type material. Photographs on canvas have a special look
and at $2 a print it's a whole lot more
affordable for anyone to give it a try. I have a HP C5280 with HP
Vivera ink that produced some stunning canvas prints.
Here's two
different canvas print papers that I've had good luck with and are
also recommended by others. Just follow the helpful instructions
and you'll get some pretty impressive results. Just click on the
